I am a queer/transgender social justice activist and the director and a founding member of The Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition www.masstpc.org. I am also the creator of Gender Crash, www.gendercrash.com, an open mic designed for queer and transgender performers in its eighth year.

I became intererested in buddhism after reading Dharma Punx and Hardcore Zen. I really relate to the “Question everything” concept and being present, awake, and compassionate.

I am currently studying cultural studies, political science and queer/transgender theory at Goddard College. I have two cats  a cute partner, and more books than I have to time to read, unless it is a book for school. I create mixed media art pieces, write about being part of the transgender community, and I will be beginning an oral history project interviewing transgender community leaders and activists in the summer of 2008.

I have written articles for What's Up magazine, Sojourner Women's Forum, and ”Agitate andt Activate”, the introduction to Pinned Down by Pronouns, a 2003 Lambda Literary nominee anthology published by Conviction Books. I am on he National Board of Advisors for the National Center for Transgender Equality and a Commissioner on the Massachusetts Commission for GLBT Youth.
